Relaxation and Frustration

Kindle Fire: Out of the Box

This weekend has definitely been a mixture of both.   I went out yesterday and had my hair done.  Yes I perm my hair.  It is naturally wavy but wavy in a way that doesn't lend itself to any styles.  Yep my hair has a mind of its own.  But does that really surprise you?

The last time I had it done it took about 1 1/2 hours.  This time around it took almost 3 1/2 hours because of the length.  I am kinda dreading the next time I have it done.  Am I going to be stuck in the chair for 5 hours?

Well at least it is done and in time for my company's holiday party next Saturday.  Now I just need to find something to wear.  I had this gorgeous black velvet dress but that was 20 pounds ago.  And of course I put off looking for one til the last minute.  I was going to look for one after I had my hair done but I was hurting and not in any mood to deal with Christmas shoppers.

After we got home we (myself and the hubby) went out to eat at the Hob Nob in Tacoma and oh my goodness.  When we go out I tend to order a steak because my hubby can't eat red meat so I don't get a lot of it at home.  Usually I end up sending the steak back for not being cooked properly and once it is I smother it in A-1.  Not this time.  It was perfect.  Just the right done and the seasoning was fantastic.  I do highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Tacoma or planning on visiting.

But as we were eating I was hit by a major bout of frustration.  I recently purchased Amazon's Kindle Fire.  I must admit that I love it.  The perfect size for a tablet computer because it fits nicely in my purse and it is easier to read my blogs on it then on my laptop.  But there is one downside.  It is wi-fi only.  I thought that I had figured out a way around it by getting a wireless wi-fi card but the Fire refuses to accept the password for the card.  Major annoyance and frustration.  My roomie is going to look at it tomorrow and hopefully convince them to play nicely together.  Otherwise I don't know that I will do.

Now today was a relaxing day with NO frustrations.  I really needed one after yesterday.

So how was your weekend?
