I have really been missing these weekly posts and I am so glad that I am now able to jump back into the parade. Now I am sure that you are wondering just what parade I am talking about. Sally Russick of Studio Sublime has taken us on a wonderful journey where she sends up prompts each week and we get to take and show of pictures related to the prompts.
Our prompt this week was:
Have
you ever been in the middle of a busy day and all of a sudden you run across a
certain baked good, candy, flower or an object catches your attention and you
are sent right back to your childhood?
This
week capture what takes you back to moments past and reminisce a little.
I don't have a lot of childhood memories that I would want triggered however this flowers took me back many years. When I was first was married, we went to Germany with the US Army. I absolutely loved living there with the interesting foods, castles, great people, castles and expensive cut flowers. I always had bouquets all over the place. So when I arranged this bouquet before our monthly potluck I was taken back to a younger time almost thirty years ago.
Now that you have heard my story, be sure to click here to check out all the gorgeous photos and memories.
They are beautiful; flowers can bring back all sorts of memories.
ReplyDeleteI bet that was a special time and adventure. Beautiful flowers today too. I have a little bunch of lily of the valley at the moment. Picked from Grandma's house and clutched in a wet papertowel inside a baggy all the way home to me. My new fav cut flowers!
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful and what a lovely memory, too!! Great photo - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI met my husband after he had come back from Germany, wish I had the chance to go. Wonderful that you have something to remind you of that time.
ReplyDeleteI remember the castles... when I lioved in Switzerland we spent weekends visiting castles and churches.. the castles I loved I began to dread seeing another church! I rarley have cut flowers I like them in the garden... I think they die so much more quickly when they are cut!
