Tantek Multitasking (Photo credit: Thomas Hawk) |
If there's one thing that I am really regretting as I am getting old, it is losing the ability to multitask. I have always been one that is reading one thing on my tablet, answering an email on my laptop and talking to a customer on the phone. Yet as I am getting older, I am finding that unless I concentrate on one thing at a time I am losing items in the cracks. Totally not cool.
Having to concentrate on say... my phone calls means that I am not being able to keep up on emails, reading my review books or following blogs. Heck, I have even been falling behind on my own blog. I find this to be highly annoying. I have had to give up on a lot of physical pastimes due to my fibro but I didn't expect to have to cut back on mental excursions.
I have to admit that I am not too sure if this slowing down is occurring because I have reached my fifth decade or my fibromylgia. Either way I am sick of it. Has anyone else ran into this issue and if so what did you do about it?
I have Fibro also. I was diagnosed a little over 6 yrs ago. I'm almost 40 and I can so tell I'm slowing down. Physically and mentally. I don't know how to handle it either. I don't want anyone to be sick, but it is nice to know I'm not alone.

I just turned 40 and I think I also have slowed down just a bit. I don't know if it is from stress or getting older but it does stink.
