Patina Blog Hop

I was one of the lucky ten selected to play with patina for this hop by Kathy of BayMoonDesign and first off, I really want to thank her.  I have had some patinas sitting in a drawer but this hop encouraged me to dig them out and play.  I did have a couple issues in the design process such as almost constant headaches (I have new glasses on the way) and managing to break one of the little tongs so I had to switch from the idea of a bracelet to one of a necklace.

I really think that those glitches contributed towards this design that I am very happy with.  Once I had patinaed the focal it really reminded me of something found under the sea so I went with that using silk that has the blue & turquoise colors of the sea and glass pearls from ZNet.  The silk continues around to the clasp which makes this necklace a delight to wear.

Now that you have seen my humble offering, be sure to check out what everyone else has done with their patinaed piece.

  8. I really like the way your necklace turned out. And yes, it does remind me of something found under the sea, too, so I think you captured that very well. Glad I wasn't the only one that broke the little clips on the compass trying to work with it. I finally got my pictures reloaded and my blog post/reveal up on my blog.

  9. Nothing humble about this beautiful necklace!!! Love the colors and the design, its lovely!!
