Book Review: It Had To Be Fate

Falling for a bad-boy rock star is the last thing single mother Casey Anderson-Bovier should do. Embroiled in a custody battle with her ex, Casey is fighting to raise her boys in their quaint Colorado hometown—a secret haven for celebrities. But when it comes to her hotel’s newest guest, Casey can’t connect the dots. Is Zane Steele the out-of-control rocker plastered all over the media, or the captivating man with a killer smile who’s charming her and her two boys?

Zane has a good reason for letting the world believe the worst of him—and that’s a secret he’s sure he can never share…until he meets Casey. After years of having fans fall at his feet, he’s found the one woman who brings him to his knees. Casey is beautiful and intriguing—and thoroughly justified in not trusting him one bit, especially with her family at stake. But the only way to be together is to convince her to take a chance on him, on fate, and on their crazy, unexpected love.

* * * * *

There are times when nothing seems to suit but a good old fashioned contemporary romance.  Well maybe not old fashioned since our heroine is a divorced woman with a couple kids but the romance is all about love and all the wonderful feelings that go along with it.

Casey's life should be perfect; she has a wonderful job managing a hotel that caters to the rich and famous, and her kid's are back from their summer with her ex-husband but then she receives paperwork that the ex is suing for custody in France.  And then to top of her day, bad boy rocker Zane Steele is going to be staying in her hotel.

I found this to be a very enjoyable story of a man who is getting a bad rep through no fault of his own, a woman who is soured on bad boys and her two boys all falling in love.  There are difficulties but they manage to work around and through them.  The characters are all beautifully written both the main and the secondary.  The dialogue is great and will bring on a few chuckles.

I think that my readers that enjoy a sweet contemporary romance would really enjoy IT HAD TO BE FATE.  There are a couple sex scenes but none are graphic so it is good for all ages.

*** I received this book at no charge from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.  All opinions expressed within are my own.
