I can't believe that it is sunday night already. It seems as though the weekend just started and I didn't accomplish near as much as I thought I would. In fact, I didn't accomplish much at all. I did manage to go in and work for a few hours yesterday and get the grocery shopping done. I have a funny feeling that I will be sneaking in some overtime every change I get as I love my new house but there are things that I really need to get for it like living room furniture. I am just glad that Ikea has some nice couches at a reasonable price. Oh and bookcase, many bookcases.
What I didn't get done is to sort through some paperwork to find out what I need to keep and what needs to be recycled. Speaking of recycling, I still don't have my garbage or recycling cans. I have been here a week and I ordered the utilities turned on a week before we moved. I swear I hate the garbage mafia in this town. Don't they understand that when a person moves they are going to have a lot of recycling and garbage. I can't even take the garbage to the dump because I don't have a utility bill yet. I wonder what they would do if I took it all and dumped it on their front lawn?
I haven't had a change to set up my studio yet. Well I can't actually say that as I did have this weekend but I had been shorting myself on my pain pills so I wouldn't run out before time to refill them so I have been really hurting. I did go refill them today and I have some relief but if everything goes according to the norm, it will be couple days before I am back to normal.
It did give me an excuse however to hit up some great book blogs during their blogfest. Hopefully I will win some new books. Books are going to be the downside of moving. All those wonderful books that I was receiving from publishers are going to come to a halt. Oh why can't UPS & FedEx set up a forwarding system?
So how was everybody's weekend? Did you manage to accomplish everything on your list?
The first thing I thought when I saw that photo was "OH! Invite me over so we can dig through your BOOKS!" I love to talk books.
