It has seemed difficult to make my way down to my studio
lately so I am very happy that I managed to get a bangle and a bedazzled zipper
pull done on last Wednesday. I am really
not sure why it has been hard. Once I
make it down there I have a blast but it is really taking the first step that
gets me.
This time I can’t really blame my muse because once I get
down there I have all kinds of ideas.
Maybe she just needs to ride me harder so that I have no choice but to
move. So that I can push thru the pain
that lately has been an everyday occurrence.
Or maybe I just need to get off the couch and move. After all I forget about the pain and the day
to day hassles once I get busy.
Anyways, I haven’t been a complete slacker. I did manage to make up some earrings and a
necklace for the ABS challenges the last couple months. I just didn’t get the pictures edited in time
to send them in for the monthly contests.
Here is couple pics of the necklace I made. This is the first time I worked with three
strands braided. The lampwork beads are
from Blue Dish Beads.
I also signed up for Erin of Treasures Found's challenge which
is based on the written word. The idea
is to make a piece of jewelry based on a favorite book or poem. I am really being torn between two books so I
might just get ambitious and do them both.
Wow it just occurred to me that my muse is pushing.
What do you think?
Should I concentrate on just the one or push myself.
by the sounds of it, all you need to do to 'push yourself' is get down to your studio.. the muse will kick your butt into high gear once you're there ;)
