swear that lately procrastination is my middle name. And I am getting better at it with practice. I promised you all a contest for my birthday and well that was back on the 2nd. Time to remedy that.
I picked up this wonderful Greenman in a little celtic shop that was closing down in Port Townsend, WA. I swear that is such a delightful town with a business district that remind me of small town America. You know back when all towns had a soda fountain.
The man is ceramic and has a wonderful bronze color to it that I wasn't able to coax out very well. And I promise to pack him up very well for shipping. Good luck everyone!
Any day trips will be very local, Shai... hoping to check out glass beads at the other end of my province (wait, I think I said that LAST summer!)
ReplyDeleteShai, I posted on my FB and CBC... what is the date? Also I wasn't sure how to "like" someone on Pinterest, couldn't find a button for that, so I liked one of your pins. Let me know!
ReplyDeleteI love him! Enter me to win.
ReplyDeleteThe hubby and I went to Dash Point and Browns Point Parks (between Federal Way and Tacoma, WA) recently on a Saturday. Dash Point has a lovely beach and some BEAUTIFUL easy-medium hikes through lush green forests with lovely streams bubbling throughout! Also has more challenging hikes - we avoided "Heart Attack Hill" but some may be in better shape than I!!! Browns Point with its lighthouse (automated now - but historic signs show original's photo) and quaint keeper's house (you can actually rent it and stay there!), bell house and picnic areas is a nice diversion too! We got a Discover Pass and it's turning out to be the best money ever spent!
ReplyDeleteI really wish we could do a day trip, but without a car it is almost impossible.
ReplyDeleteLoving your blog. I'm new here. Mischelle "sent me over"...lol. I'd love to be able to find some cool shops like that. There aren't many where I live. Happy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteDid my thing post? Ugggh! I'm so off balance today. Happy Birthday! The Green Man you found is awesome and I love what you've done with it! It's perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteNone so far, but moved to WA this year so will have to check out Port Townsend :)
ReplyDeleteNo trips, but I've been in a kayak twice! Floating in the lake is like a vacation. Thanks for this fabulous giveaway. That bead is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty.
ReplyDeleteWow! Is this a bead? The detail is so amazing....
ReplyDeleteI went to a flea market last week and found some neat things that I can add to my jewelry. The bead you are giving away is awesome, someone is going to be very lucky. Hope you had a wonderful birthday.
ReplyDeleteHubby and I spent a glorious day at the local zoo! We had such a great time! We packed a picnic and saw a bunch of the shows! We felt like kids again! Awesome day!

Daytrips. Been on several. School cloths and art supplies shopping yesterday(love!!!). We don't have a mall. So a two hour drive to a creal city was a fun little get together for me and my family. Have several day trips planned to take my mother in law that has Alzheimers to her favorite places. Mackinaw island a ferry ride and fudge shops :).
ReplyDeleteLove your bead. I work with all mediums. Polymer is my favorite. So I respect the hard work and detail you have put into this gorgeous bead.
Hope your Birthday was a great one filled with lots of laughter

My husband and I have gone out on the trike twice this summer. First to Priest Falls Inn which has the best sandwiches and last Saturday to Thompson Pass. The green man you bought is wonderful.

My husband and I have planned to do day trips but have been so busy with the children doing other things. I hope to do a few soon.
