Muffin Tin Challenge Blog Hop

I do have to say that Heather of Humblebeads know how to start the year out right with her Muffin Tin Challenge !  The idea is to gather the beginnings of some jewelry designs & then sit down to put them together.   I started out with six pieces all put together in a tin and took a picture last Sunday. Then I continued cleaning up enough that I could work and ended up with all twelve filled.

Okay I can do this as I still had a week left to work on baking everything especially as I had four pieces done on Sunday.

And I even managed to use the Muffin Tin Method to help me design a couple of necklaces for other challenges.

I felt like had managed to really optimize my time.

But then my fibromyalgia decided to remind me that I really need my biweekly massages unless I want a nasty flare up.

I am still happy that I managed to make seven pieces over this last week.

These last three designs are some earrings that I will be donating to Ears To You.

There were several that took part in the challenge. To check out what everyone has made, just click here and scroll down to the bottom of this post.

  1. I hadn't joined the challenge because I thought it wouldn't be a method that works for me, but seeing how much everyone got done, maybe I'm wrong. Just with a little longer timeline. Great job!

  2. It is a very motivating challenge but it is even more inspiring to see what everybody else made :) Love your necklaces and the mismatched earrings!

  3. I love everything you made - love the earring with cherry blossom dangles!

  4. You put together some interesting pieces. I especially like the last pair of earrings.

  5. Pretty! I love the starfish earrings, such unusual stones!

  6. So many lovely colour choices there. Beautiful work. Sorry to hear about the fibromyalgia. Hope you're feeling better

  7. Gorgeous designs! I love starfish :D

  8. I completely missed out on the challenge this year unfortunately, but am enjoying hopping around seeing what everyone else got made. I think the muffin method is definitely a great tool to get motivated and get some stuff made. I may just have to break out one of my tins and give it a go for fun. Anyway. . .your pieces!! I hate that you had a flare up, but what you got made is great! I think the dragon necklace and the earrings with the cherry blossoms would have to be my favorites. It's like those pieces absolutely belong together. Great work!!

  9. Good work on baking your "muffins"! I really like that dragon necklace with the leather(?) at the back but your cherry blossom earrings might be my faves. Sometimes life (and our bodies!) can throw us curveballs so be proud of what you managed to accomplish! :)
